Two generations of candy-making experience
Our story began with a young man determined to escape hunger. In his mid-to-late teens, he learned candy making at a Japanese-run candy factory. In the mid-1980s, he returned to candy making at Narae Food, a small factory producing traditional sweets.
In the early 1990s, his youngest son joined the factory. Starting with cleaning the machines, he spent about fifteen years working alongside his father and learning ingredient blending and production management.
On 8 June 2010, he established Cheongwon Food, building on two generations of family experience in candy making.
Global Business
From Korean expertise to global opportunities
Building on its candy manufacturing experience in Korea, Cheongwon Food is developing Golden Dalgona with a manufacturing partner in China. Preparations began in 2025, followed by trial production in August 2026.
Alongside Golden Dalgona, our trading team in China sources products from partner factories for import into Korea and supply to other markets. Each product is reviewed for its manufacturer, country of origin and commercial terms.
